Playstation 5 Slim release date:
Sony has officially confirmed the PlayStation 5 Slim devices after many rumors that appeared during the recent period, and they are supposed to be officially available in the markets during the 2023 holiday season.
The smaller PS5 design comes with 1TB of storage for the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition, and the new model offers the option to add an Ultra HD Blu-ray drive to the PS5 Digital Edition.

In a post on the official PlayStation blog:
Sid Shoman, the company's senior director, said that Sony created the new PS5 device to meet the evolving needs of gamers.
Schuman said:
Our engineering and design teams have collaborated on a new form factor that offers greater choice and flexibility, while offering the same technology features that made PS5 the best for gaming, but in a smaller form factor, along with an attachable Ultra HD Blu-ray drive and a large-capacity SSD. 1TB for more internal storage.
Ps5 Slim price:
Sony reported that the new PS5 has been reduced in size by more than 30% and weighs 18% and 24% less compared to previous versions. If you purchase the PS5 Digital Edition, you can add a premium PS5 Blu-ray drive later, as it will also be sold separately for $79.99.
Sony added that the new PS5 model will be available starting in November in the United States at select local retailers, and will continue to be rolled out globally in the following months, and once current PS5 stock is sold out, the new one will become the only model available.

Conclusion:
The new model has dual USB-C ports on the front instead of the single USB-C and USB-A ports available on the current PS5.
It will be possible to place the device horizontally through a small mounting piece that stabilizes it, and if you want to make the device vertical, you will have to purchase the pieces or “stand” separately and it is compatible with all PS5 models for $29.99.
